A resort on Phú Quốc Island in Vietnam welcomes enthusiastic English speakers to join its English camp and support daily resort operations. The camp works with children aged 5–12 and welcomes native English speakers as well as those with a high level of English proficiency. Formal teaching experience is not essential, making this a suitable opportunity for people who enjoy working with children and sharing their language and culture. Couples and friends are also welcome to apply together.
Tasks & Roles
Helpers contribute to the English camp as teachers, teaching assistants or activity leaders, with additional opportunities to assist with resort management and operations. The camp schedule involves four hours of help per day, five days a week. Activities include supporting teachers and organising engaging sessions such as sports, games, arts and crafts. The team is looking for proactive, responsible, energetic and creative people who are happy to take initiative and help children learn through enjoyable activities.
Living & Getting There
Accommodation is provided in a volunteer house within the resort, with shared rooms sleeping up to six people, although there are usually two or three volunteers per room. The accommodation includes beds, bedding, basic facilities and a private bathroom with a shower. Groceries are provided, and volunteers can enjoy a daily buffet breakfast at 10.15 am. They also have access to the resort’s swimming pool, gym and other facilities, along with a complimentary buggy service to and from the beach. Bicycle hire is available at half price.
The nearest airport is Phú Quốc International Airport (PQC), around a 15-minute drive from the resort. Taxis and motorbikes are readily available for onward travel, and the hosts can provide directions and arrival assistance.
What else
Volunteers can become part of an international community, with at least four volunteers usually staying at the resort. This provides opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds, make friends and explore the island together. Phú Quốc is known for its beautiful beaches, surrounding islands and tropical scenery, offering plenty to enjoy during free time. The combination of teaching, cultural exchange and access to resort facilities makes this an opportunity to gain experience, meet new people and discover island life in Vietnam.
