Work in Ireland as a farm volunteer – requirements & tasks

Come join us in our relaxed seaside village, nestled along a scenic tourist route with stunning beaches and refreshing ocean air. We’re a lively hub during the summer, offering a unique experience helping out on our sheep farm all year round, or at our horse stables and trekking center during the warmer months.

Our farm is just steps from the wild Atlantic, where you can immerse yourself in nature and learn new skills.

Farm life changes with the seasons, but some things always stay the same. We take care of our sheep every day, checking on their health and giving them medicine if they need it.

In spring, we get ready for new lambs in April. This is a busy and happy time, but it can also be hard work. We watch over the sheep and help them if they need it, so extra help is always welcome. In May and June, we also collect peat to burn for heat in the winter. It’s a good way to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Summer is the time for shearing, when we cut the wool off the sheep by hand. It’s a busy time, but it’s important work. We also run a horse stable in the summer, where visitors can go riding. It’s a fun way to spend the summer, but we have to take care of the horses and the people who come to ride them.

September is a nice time on the farm. We keep working with the sheep until Christmas, and every day brings something new.

Our farm is bustling with activity all year round, so no matter when you visit, there’s always something going on!

You’ll work for about 30 hours per week.

If you’re up for physical work and have a can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you! Get in touch and let the adventure begin.
