Our place is a 70 years old olive grove. We just moved last year and we are working to create a permaculture farm. We try to live a simple life, respecting and cooperating with nature, and neighbours to pursue the goal of a healthier humanity on Earth. If you like this mindset, we’d love to meet you!
Volunteer in Argentina on a farm – requirements & tasks
Our project is young and there is plenty to do and that’s why we need people willing to help. We have done a permaculture design and we are in the process of implementing it, i.e. doing swales, ponds, reforesting, etc. There is already an organic vegetable garden, a chicken shed, a compost area and we are working on building outside compost toilets.
We also grow edible mushrooms with our own recycled logs. Hopefully this year we will have our first crop.
We will ask you to help us for 5 hous, 6 days a week. The options of work are endless – from basics structural work to making delicate creative decorations. We appreciate everyone’s skills and advice. We are happy to help and learn from each other.
Volunteer in Argentina on a farm – what we offer
We offer you a great cultural exchange. You can experience living in a rural area in Argentina and learn some Spanish. That way you will get to know the Argentinian culture far away from big cities and many Argentinian style creative ways of problem solving.
We will also teach you about permaculture and eco-building techniques.
There is a room in the house to share between volunteers. If you prefer, we have plenty of space to camp under old shady trees. We provide basics facilities like hot shower, electricity, drinkable water from a well and compost toilet. There is some mobile reception at the farm and free WiFi is available 1000 meters away.
We offer 3 daily vegetarian meals
The farm is located 4km from town San Francisco del Monte de Oro, in the hilly area of San Luis province. It’s super quiet and peaceful here. There are two pristine fresh water rivers close-by where you can swim or start a trek.
