Volunteer in Costa Rica on an eco ranch β requirements & tasks
Surrounded by the lush landscape of our Costa Rican rainforest, as you travel down the entrance road for the first time, your senses shift into overdrive. While on the farm tour, your eyes, ears, and soul will be filled with the wonders of our regenerative paradise, allowing you to glimpse the enormity of what lies hidden in plain sight.
One of the key attractions that draws guests, students, and volunteers to Rancho Margot is the opportunity to embrace a more conscientious way of life. To power our operations, we utilize a hydroelectric generator and solar energy. Additionally, we have implemented a sophisticated composting system. Food waste, vegetative matter, and solid animal waste are collected, and with the help of beneficial microorganisms, they are decomposed through the system. The end result is an organic fertilizer that significantly enhances our soil structure. We also raise free-range chickens, produce our own pork on-site, and cultivate our dairy products.
In the kitchen, we need assistance from professional cooks who can craft a variety of dishes using our farm products and provide training to our staff.
On the farm, volunteers are assigned to assist in various areas where help is required, primarily participating in daily routine activities that do not require specific training.
