Sri Lanka Teaching Placement – Help Required
We have a couple of teachers working in the school and it is purely with an international Curriculum (English). We are looking for volunteer teachers for either a short or long-term basis to give the best education to the children. These are Tamil-speaking areas where we want to teach the students in English and build up a strong disciplined generation.  Also, please be informed that the parents of these children are from a very low-income area and it’s been a civil war-affected area for the past 30 long years. Main tasks include:
- Teaching children English (ages between 4 to 10 years old). Also teaching songs and children’s rhyme.
- Teaching experience is not required, but you should be willing to teach and you should have the ability to do so (preferred volunteer overseas experience).
Hours & Roster
- Teaching hours are 25 – 30 hours a week. Weekends are off (Saturday and Sunday).
Sleeping: Free Accommodation. The residence for the volunteer will be a short walking distance from the school.
Linen & Laundry: Linen and towels supplied or bring your own. Laundry facilities are available onsite.
Eating: Free meals included.
Transport: The nearest international airport is the Colombo Bandaranayke airport and there is a domestic airport in Jaffna. The volunteer could travel by train, by bus, or by any other vehicle which will be provided by us. Your transport and security shall be provided by the school.
