We are Anna and Jannik and we have a dream to create a spiritual, yoga and meditation seminar house in the mountains of the Black Forest. Join us in creating a space of tranquility, self-discovery, and connection while volunteering in Germany!
Try volunteering in Germany – requirements & tasks
We are Anna and Jannik, a couple residing in the heart of the Black Forest alongside our cat, Levia. Together, we share a dream of establishing a spiritual retreat centered on yoga and meditation within the mountains of the Black Forest.
We embarked on a new chapter last year by settling into our home amid nature. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters and beside the Ravenna stream, our house holds a rich history dating back to its construction in 1800. We aspire to transform it into a serene and inviting retreat center.
To materialize our vision, we seek assistance primarily with:
– general maintenance (ensuring the property remains tidy and in good condition)
– gardening (planting, grass cutting, creating vegetable gardens, small pond maintenance, etc.)
– construction projects (building a carport, greenhouse, raised beds, fireplace, deconstruction, etc.)
– art projects (website development, managing social media, event organization, creating yoga and meditation spaces)
We request assistance for 5 days a week, approximately 4-5 hours per day. On occasion, we might also seek help on Saturdays, providing a day off during the week in exchange.
Fostering a sense of community is vital to us. Hence, we invite you to engage in regular yoga sessions, share moments in nature, create music around a bonfire, partake in river ice bathing, and contribute your own interests and talents.
In our pursuit of creating a safe haven for spiritual growth and nurturing a yogic community, we maintain a strict no-alcohol, no-cigarettes, and no-drug policy. We kindly request all guests to adhere to this guideline for the duration of their stay and refrain from being under the influence of any such substances while living with us.
You will work for about 25 hours per week.
Try volunteering in Germany – what we offer
As a volunteer, you will have:

– access to shared kitchen
We will provide essential food ingredients for preparing your vegetarian meals, such as rice, potatoes, fresh vegetables, oatmeal, flour, bread, cooking oil, pasta, etc. These supplies can be adjusted to accommodate any special dietary requirements, including allergies.
