We run a wonderful Lodge located in Swedish Lapland, near the Finnish border, in Idivuoma. We are in the lappish nature, in the forest and near a big lake. The first neighbor is 1 km away, just perfect to watch northern lights !
Our lodge is a quiet and comfortable place to stay in the heart of Nature. Our goal is to offer our guests a place in Lapland where they can be in the wilderness, very far away from mass tourism, they can split with their everyday life, feel at home in our lodge as if they were with some friends.
We offer you to spend a season with our team : Clémence, the lodge manager, and our 4 guides to experience the life and activities above the Artic circle : snowshoes, ski, snowmobile, northern light hunting.
We would need help mainly with serving breakfast and diner, cleaning cabins and the lodge. During the week, it is morning and evening work, so during the day you can have activities in the nature with our guides and guests, or by yourself to experience Lapland.
Because we have only French speaking guests and because our team is only made from French, we prefer to receive French speaking volunteers, but if you are very motivated, we can see !
Tasks & Roles
We would need help mainly with serving breakfast and diner, cleaning cabins and the lodge.
Approximate working hours would be 4-5 hours /day and 1 day off. During the week, it is morning and evening work, so during the day you can have activities in the nature with our guides and guests, or by yourself.
Each Saturday, it is cleaning of the cabins after the departure of the guests and before the new arrivals, your are paid for this cleaning.
Volunteer in Lapland – Living
During the fall season, you will be alone in your cabin.
During the winter season, you will share your cabin with another volunteer and the cooker.
We will pick up you at the Kiruna airport, 2 hours drive away from our lodge. If you stay during all the season, we will pay back your flights (price for a Paris-Kiruna).
We recommend that when travelling that you have your own travel insurance cover in place.
