Originally from the UK, I have made Spain my home, where I manage guest houses for owners taking time away. If you’re looking to volunteer at a Spanish B&B and immerse yourself in the authentic charm of rural Spain, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Spend your summer helping to run a welcoming guest house while experiencing the local culture and lifestyle firsthand.
Volunteer at Spanish B&B: Tasks & Roles
The ideal person for this role will bring enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with the daily running of the B&B, ensuring guests feel welcome, and helping to create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. Tasks will range from greeting and accommodating visitors from around the world to preparing meals, serving food, and keeping guest rooms and communal areas clean and tidy. If you have additional skills such as art, photography, or massage, you may have the opportunity to offer paid services to guests, enriching their stay and earning a little extra for yourself.
Volunteer at Spanish B&B: Living & Getting There
Accommodation is provided in a private room with access to a shared bathroom. All meals are included, and you are welcome to help yourself. However, please note that we are unable to cater to specific dietary requirements.
The nearest airports are Almería and Granada, both of which offer affordable and convenient bus connections to Oria. If you are arriving within 20 miles of Oria, car collection can be arranged.
For those aged 25 and over with a full driving licence, a car may be available for use when not required for B&B purposes. While not essential, having access to a vehicle can make getting around and fulfilling certain tasks more convenient.
Volunteer at Spanish B&B: What Else?
Los Lujos B&B is set in the beautiful Spanish countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of major towns. This setting is ideal for nature lovers who appreciate a peaceful and authentic lifestyle rather than seeking nightlife or a party atmosphere. Those who enjoy personal hobbies and a slower pace of life will find this the perfect place to spend their time.
