Work exchange in Spain – requirements & tasks
I’m looking for someone to help out on my farm in Durango, a small town nestled in the mountains between Bilbao and San Sebastián.
I need someone who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty clearing land, looking after the soil, pruning. Ideally, you will have knowledge about plants and fruit trees as I would like to learn more about fruit trees.
You’ll work for about 15 hours per week with weekends off. That leaves you plenty of time to explore Spain.
The closest airport is in Bilbao, about 30 kilometers away. I’m happy to pick you up from there.
Bilbao itself is a vibrant city with plenty to explore, from the iconic Guggenheim Museum to the charming Old Town.
If you’re a nature lover, the surrounding mountains offer fantastic opportunities for hiking and climbing. Or, if you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can head to one of the nearby beaches for a swim or sunbathe.
In the evenings, there’s always something to do in Durango. You can catch a movie at the cinema, enjoy a play at the theater, or go for a bike ride along the river.
Work exchange in Spain – what I offer
Accommodation will be provided on the farm itself, in a cozy 60 m² loft with a 30 m² terrace. It’s suitable for one or two people, and being in the mountains, I can even accommodate animals if needed. Full board is included, so you won’t have to worry about meals.
