Volunteer on a ranch in Mexico – requirements & tasks
Hello! I’m Vitza, and I’m passionate about holistic living and conservation. I founded a unique ranch nestled in the breathtaking Sierra de San Pedro Mártir of Baja California. Our mission is to protect and regenerate 500 hectares of this precious land through sustainable practices. We also offer guests a tranquil escape in our eco-friendly cabins, designed to foster relaxation and connection with nature. We believe in the power of slow living and strive to produce all our food and products on-site using sustainable agriculture.
Volunteering at Rancho La Concepción isn’t just about helping the land – it’s about becoming part of a profound journey of transformation for both the environment and the people who connect with it. Our mission focuses on ecological restoration and personal renewal, offering a unique chance to contribute to the healing of both the natural world and those who experience its beauty.
Typical tasks
We’re seeking dedicated individuals to help us maintain the pristine condition of our cabins, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests before, during, and after their stay. This involves meticulous cleaning both inside and out, with a keen eye for detail. You’ll also play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, such as delivering firewood, addressing any minor concerns, and attending to their needs throughout their visit.
Additionally, you’ll contribute to the overall upkeep of the ranch by assisting with general cleaning, preparing meals for the team, caring for our chickens, and lending a hand with gardening and landscaping around the cabins.
This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a regenerative, nature-focused project, surrounded by the beauty of our serene setting.
You’ll work for about 30 hours per week.
Additional information
You’ll thrive here if you embrace off-the-grid living, as we’re nestled in a secluded spot. Winters can bring a chill and occasional snow, so be ready for rustic charm and a deep connection with the natural world. A flexible spirit and a sense of adventure are definite assets!
Our close-knit community enjoys shared meals, with team breakfasts and lunches fueling us for the day’s activities. We reside in a communal house with shared spaces and plenty of opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and stargazing. Plus, the nearby Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park offers stunning hiking trails.
