This small and friendly horse riding project offers the opportunity to become a Horse Riding Volunteer in Morocco, based near Agadir in the Aourir and Tamraght area. Located close to the ocean, the project provides horse riding experiences through beautiful coastal and mountain landscapes.
The project welcomes positive, respectful and responsible people who enjoy animals, nature and meeting people from different backgrounds. No professional experience is required, although being comfortable around horses is a big advantage. Volunteers should be motivated, willing to learn and happy to work as part of a team. A stay of at least two weeks is preferred.
Tasks & Roles
As a Horse Riding Volunteer in Morocco, the main responsibilities include caring for the horses by feeding, cleaning and preparing them for rides. Volunteers may also assist guests during horse riding tours, help keep the property clean and tidy, and support the team with simple daily activities.
There may also be opportunities to help with social media by taking photographs and videos, creating Instagram content and communicating with visitors. Volunteers usually work around four to five hours per day, five days a week.
Living & Getting There
Volunteers are provided with a clean and comfortable room, subject to availability. The room can accommodate two people or be used privately, depending on the arrangement. It includes a bed, mattress, blankets and storage space, with access to a shared bathroom and common areas.
The accommodation is simple and peaceful, with nature and the ocean nearby. The project is located in Aourir, in the Tamraght area near Agadir. Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) is approximately 40 minutes away by car.
A taxi from the airport directly to Aourir is the easiest and quickest option. The host can provide directions and stay in contact throughout the journey. If needed, volunteers can also be met at an agreed location in Aourir, with the exact meeting point provided after the stay is confirmed.
What else
The project gives a Horse Riding Volunteer in Morocco the chance to experience Moroccan life while spending time with horses and exploring the local area. During their free time, volunteers can enjoy the nearby beaches, go surfing, discover the surrounding countryside or experience the local culture.
The project has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and values good communication, respect and a positive attitude. Volunteers are expected to work well with others and take responsibility for their daily tasks. In return, they can enjoy a cultural exchange and a peaceful setting close to the ocean.
