Volunteer abroad on a farm – requirements & tasks

We are initiating a mushroom and peach orchard on a 26-acre farm property. Additionally, we are in the process of constructing a greenhouse to extend the growing season and offer a wider variety of cultivation options!
You will assist us with pruning, planting, maintenance, irrigation, harvesting, cleaning grounds, clearing, building, and improving structures (carpentry, trenching, land maintenance). There are also opportunities to contribute to business administration, festival design and management, and other administrative tasks.
A typical day starts early, around 7:30; you’ll meet with a project leader, review the day’s plan, and then work on a current project (e.g., planting the orchard, maintaining a building, fixing up a shed, cleaning an area, repairing or greasing a tractor, clearing land). We’ll break for lunch, and the rest of the day is free for our volunteers. Occasionally, we may opt for a full workday and provide volunteers with the following day off to explore the town, nearby beaches, or tourist sites.
Expect a willingness to work hard, get hands dirty, maintain a fun attitude, and be a good team player. We have pets, so you should enjoy dogs, cats, and chickens.

We have AirBnB rooms available near the farm on family land, offering two shared spaces furnished with HVAC, 5 beds, and internet. Additionally, there is a guest cottage on the farm, a converted tobacco barn apartment, featuring 3 beds, wall ACs, and space heaters. Occasionally, we will dine together, and food will be placed in refrigerators for our volunteers to share.
In the AirBnB accommodations, bathrooms, kitchen space, and the living room are shared, with private bedrooms/Queen beds and code-locked doors.
From the AirBnB, the homestead is a short distance down the street. Safe parking is available for personal vehicles, or daily pickup/drop-off transportation can be arranged. Additionally, bicycles are available for volunteer use.
** It is crucial to consider that the AirBnB apartments are located above a local tavern/bar. Please give thorough thought to whether loud music and late nights will bother you.
