Volunteer work in Thailand – requirements & tasks
In southern Thailand, just 30 km from Surathani province, there’s a hidden retreat ready to be explored. After 60 years away, we’ve come back to our 1.5 hectares of land rich in biodiversity. While nearby areas have been converted to rubber and palm oil plantations, our land has thrived through natural growth—a true example of nature’s endurance.
Here, we’re building “Wichai’s Jungle Home Stay,” a small retreat designed for you to reconnect with yourself and nature. Picture waking up to birds singing, wandering through lush greenery, and drifting off under a sky filled with stars. This peaceful escape offers a break from city life, letting you recharge in body and spirit.
At Wichai’s, you’ll experience authentic Thai culture in a close-knit community, far from crowded tourist spots. Immerse yourself in a way of life that’s both meaningful and uplifting.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us with the following tasks
- Constructing a tree house and a unique dirt house
- Building a restaurant and a yoga platform
- Creating a bamboo bridge to a beautiful lotus pond
- Clearing and preparing an area for a natural swimming pool
- Tool maintenance and repair
- Creative art projects
You will work for 3 hours per day, 5 days a week with weekends off to explore Thailand.
If you’re seeking calm, connection, and a taste of real Thai culture, Wichai’s Jungle Home Stay is ready to welcome you!
