I’ve recently acquired an old house for renovation and could use assistance with various tasks, including house renovation, plastering, painting, and garden landscaping.
The house is nestled in an ancient medieval village in the Landes, distinguished as a “small town of character” and “citaslow,” offering a tranquil lifestyle. Situated in a bastide renowned for its armagnac production, it’s approximately 1.5 hours from the Landes coast and the Pyrenees, and roughly 2 hours from major cities like Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Bayonne.
I have a very, very, very friendly dog and two cats who share my life.
You will work for about 18 hours per week.
Restoration volunteer work in the house and garden – what we offer
I offer a room with a 140cm bed along with private shower room and toilet. The accommodation is basic due to ongoing renovations everywhere, but it’s clean and fairly comfortable. The rest of the living space is shared.
I also provide a full board. I mainly cook with fresh and organic ingredients but do not eat meat.
