Volunteer as an English mentor in Poland – requirements & tasks

Apply now for the role of English Language Mentor if you:

  • Have a passion for working with kids and/or teenagers
  • Are creative and full of good ideas for how to engage and entertain kids and/or teenagers
  • Like to travel and explore different cultures
  • Are sociable, friendly and outgoing
  • Speak English as a first language or are a highly proficient speaker of English
  • Hold a teaching qualification, such as TEFL certificate (desirable, but not essential)
  • Are available in Poland from January 21st to January 28th (inclusive) 2023

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To participate in games, activities, entertainment and social events with kids and/or teenagers
  • To speak English with kids and/or teenagers throughout the whole week, including at mealtimes
  • To work alongside our Activity Leaders and Programme Coordinators to deliver an exciting experience for our participants
  • To help to take care of and support our kids and/or teenagers with their English language development

Volunteer as an English mentor in Poland – what we offer

Our English Language Mentors will live in shared houses or apartments with comfortable single beds for each person. We will meet you in the centre of Gdańsk, Poland, and take you by coach to the venue in the mountains of Zakopane. At the end of the trip, we will take you back to Gdańsk or another city such as Kraków or Warsaw, if you prefer. You’ll get:

  • FREE accommodation throughout the whole stay
  • FREE food and drinks during your whole time with us (three meals a day + snacks)
  • FREE trip to Zakopane centre
  • FREE trip to a thermal spa
  • FREE transport by coach to the camp venue from Gdańsk (on January 21st) and back to a range of Polish cities on January 28th, at your discretion
  • FULL training and support before the camp (on January 21st in Gdańsk, Poland) and throughout the camp
  • A written reference for future employment opportunities
  • Priority access to future paid opportunities as an Activity Leader for Summer 2023 and beyond
  • A memorable week of fun with a wonderful group of kids, teens and like minded professionals
