Volunteering opportunity in Scotland, UK – requirements & tasks
Last year (2022) I started a little food business from home and visited markets to sell my baking. It was great but this year, I have been given the great opportunity to rent a Cafe and can’t wait to open it on Easter.
I am planning to keep going with my baking but add some takeaway options during the day and in the evening.
I love to cook and bake and love to combine dishes from different countries, mainly from the Swiss and Scottish kitchen (I’m Swiss).
The Cafe is right along the NC500, one of the most beautiful routes in the world and it might become quite busy from time to time. And that’s why I’m looking for help from motivated people who also like the chance to explore this beautiful country, I made my home 10 years ago.
I expect you to support me with baking and helping out in the Cafe 3-4 days a week, the rest of the time is all yours.
You can stay in my guest room, with a shared bathroom and a couple of cats, who might want to play from time to time. My house is right on the shores of Loch Ewe, with a direct view of the Isle of Ewe. It is simple but comfortable. You will have free accommodation and some days, I might ask you to run the Cafe on your own as I also have some markets, where I want to do the Catering.
But you will have enough time to make trips to see more of this breathtaking part of the world.
You will work for about 30 hours per week.
