Volunteering in a hostel in Costa Rica – requirements & tasks
Volunteer at a Multicultural Hostel steps away from the waves in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We are conveniently located just 5 minutes from downtown and Tamarindo Beach, which is renowned as one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches.
Tamarindo offers a unique experience where you can witness breathtaking sunsets, embrace an endless summer lifestyle, indulge in swimming and surfing at one of our country’s favorite surf spots, and connect with amazing people from around the world. It’s an opportunity to practice different languages and forge friendships that transcend borders.
Check-in and check-out occur on Mondays. On Tuesdays, we provide a hostel tutorial.
In the morning, we clean the bathrooms and common areas. Starting from 7 am until 10 pm, there are voluntary 4-hour shifts for customer care and maintaining tidiness. If you are interested, please confirm your exact arrival date to stay with us, and we will assess your suitability for our staff.
During your stay, we will consider your abilities for upcoming projects. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
As a volunteer, you will be expected to contribute 20 hours per week, working 4 hours a day with two days off. The minimum stay requirement is 1 month or longer, and while basic Spanish is preferred, a positive attitude, a collaborative spirit, and good performance are essential.
Volunteering in a hostel in Costa Rica – what we offer
In return, you will receive free accommodation in the fan room for volunteers, equipped with a private locker (bring your lock), access to common facilities, and a shared kitchen. We provide bed linen and laundry facilities.
