Opportunity for help exchange in Australia – requirements & tasks
Our home sits in a scenic valley, featuring decks that overlook the surrounding gardens and forests. The Byron Bay hinterland lies in the hills behind Byron Bay, located on Australia’s east coast. This area is known for its rainforests, waterfalls, and farmland. Towns like Bangalow, Mullumbimby, and Nimbin offer a peaceful escape from the busy coastal areas.
We’re seeking help with a variety of tasks to care for our land and property.
Land Care:
- Controlling weeds and lantana
- Clearing forested and waterfall areas by hand
- Trimming trees and mulching to encourage rainforest growth
Gardening and Maintenance:
- General gardening and weeding
- Maintaining the grounds and gardens
- Cleaning the house
Construction and Other Projects
- Painting
- Assisting with building projects
- General maintenance tasks
You will work for about 25 hours per week with weekends off.

Opportunity for help exchange in Australia – what we offer
We have a spare comfortable room in the house with a queen bed. This room can be used by one helper or a couple. We also provide all meals for volunteers.
