Work exchange in Skyros Island, Greece – requirements & tasks
We organise holiday for solo travellers where they can explore their creative potential and meet like-minded people in a stunning location. Our mission is to create a sense of community, help develop the true self and pride and commitment in everything our guests do.
We are looking for go getting, hard-working work scholars that will assist in housekeeping, bar and the kitchen and be enthusiastic to join and create a temporary community. Many of our guests return year after year, as do some of our team which is what we strive to achieve as we believe this is more than a holiday, or a summer position.
The work is often physically demanding, sometimes working long hours in the Greek sunshine so stamina and the physical ability to do this is crucial. You would be required to work 6 days a week for approx 7 hours per day, although more may be required on days when guests leave and arrive. Being adaptable and able to be ‘hands on’ as required to support the team are key.
We have a further opportunities to be part of the Admin Team. These positions all include assisting the centre manager and involve taking responsibility for a department either our bar, housekeeping or office. These positions require strong organisational skills, supervisory experience, a strong work ethic and positive attitude. These team leader positions are great for those with experience in housekeeping, bar or office management, with strong customer service skills, who take pride in their work and want a challenge while in an amazing setting for the summer. Being part of the management, you will contribute to the smooth running of the centre so hours are often longer however you will still be a fully integrated member of the community.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of courses led by world class facilitators, be part of a fantastic community on a beautiful Greek island and receive a modest stipend along with full board.
Internet access and mobile phone reception are available but limited due to the remote nature of the location.
