Enjoy nature as a volunteer on a farm – requirements & tasks

Welcome to our beautiful farm, situated in stunning natural surroundings only 1.5 km from one of Denmark’s best beaches!

We are a retired couple who are still very active and have many interests. We enjoy meeting new people and cultural exchange. On our farm, we have plenty of lovely animals: ponies, donkeys, goats, rabbits, hens, geese, ducks, guinea pigs, peacocks, dogs, and cats.

We live in a large house that we are currently renovating. Additionally, we have a guest house/B&B for tourists to stay in during the summer. When we are open for tourists, we usually organize pony trekking tours for children.

There are many different tasks here at our place. We expect you to love animals and be handy, with some experience with horses being beneficial. The work can vary significantly, including tasks such as animal care, cleaning, maintenance, gardening, grass cutting, and more.

If you stay with us, we can arrange times for both you and us to cook, depending on your preferences. Additionally, we are currently renovating our house, so if you enjoy such work, you are welcome to lend a hand.

You will work for about 25 hours per week.

Enjoy nature as a volunteer on a farm – what we offer

We offer three cozy and comfortable rooms: one for a single person, one for two persons, and another for three persons. There is a shared kitchen and bathroom available for use. Additionally, we provide all meals.

Our farm is situated in beautiful North Jutland, between two popular tourist towns, Løkken and Lønstrup, near the seaside with a splendid broad sand beach surrounded by magnificent nature! All our animals are very tame and friendly, making anyone who loves animals happy. There are many interesting places to see in and around Løkken and Lønstrup, including good beaches, many activities for young people, and great possibilities for bike riding. You can take the bus to Løkken (5 min) or to Hjørring (15 min) and from Hjørring, the train (35 min) to Ålborg.
