Volunteering in Scotland at Spiritual Retreat Centre – requirements & tasks

Lendrick lodge is a spiritual retreat center for transformation. Vicky and Stephen teach Reiki and Shamanism with the mission to help empower others to live their most soul-shining life!

Volunteers who are looking for a peaceful place to be in service and meet heart-centred folk will thrive at Lendrick. There are plenty of walks nearby taking you through forests, to lochs and on mountain hikes. Many of our volunteers brave the cold lochs nearby or go for a refreshing dip in the Goddess Pool.

People who come to Lendrick Lodge leave calling it their second home. There is a vibrant energy of giving and receiving at Lendrick, based on the foundations of moving people closer to the heart of the beloved.

We are looking for volunteers who wish to contribute to a centre designed for personal development and healing. Volunteer jobs include preparing food, cleaning the centre, chopping firewood, and seeing to guest needs. Every action is helping to create a safe, enriching environment, and experience for your spiritual family here at Lendrick.

Lendrick Lodge is a strict alcohol and drug-free zone. Due to the nature of the work, all volunteers must be in good physical and mental health, to best serve our guests.

Our rotas work on a 4-day working week which are full days on centre cleaning and split into morning (7:30-2:30) and afternoon (1:30-8:30) shifts when working in the kitchen during courses. Includes breaks.

Kelly our centre manager is full of sparkles and care. Ensuring each volunteer is well informed, cared for and listened to. Our chef Paula is bright and welcomes volunteers into the kitchen with open arms. Although she requires keen helpers who are good at following instructions and ready for action when the food is served. There is a warm, busy and fun environment in the kitchen often with music playing.

You will work for about 30 hours per week.

Volunteering in Scotland at Spiritual Retreat Centre – what we offer

Our accommodation is based on same-sex shared rooms of up to 4 people. For long-term volunteers we do offer single huts on our grounds. We also welcome travellers with campervans who can park up and are welcome to use the kitchen and bathrooms.

During course time all food is provided and outside of course times, you are welcome to cook your own food in the kitchen. We operate with a vegetarian kitchen at all times, no meat is consumed on the property, and we can cater to vegan diets as well.

We often have 3-5 volunteers at one time and there are permanent members of staff on site at all times.

Herbal teas, coffees and juices are available to volunteers.

We do not provide Wi-Fi therefore having phone data is useful while at the lodge. On the whole, people manage fine with phone reception however we have found that certain mobile providers are better than others, and during rainy storms the signal can cut out.

We host fire walks, sweat lodges, tai chi classes and offer aikido if you are staying long-term. The people who Lendrick attracts are light-hearted souls who are on a spiritual path, many people meet their soul family here and make friends for life.

The land itself has a beautiful energy, perfect for advancing your spiritual practice. If you are into meditation we have a dedicated meditation room, books and oracle cards to enjoy.
