Volunteer in Serbia & help on a farm

We would need help with running our small farm in Serbia. We focus on self-sustainability and permaculture – we’re proud to produce our own vegetables and fruits. Garden work includes planting, weeding, mulching, and watering. Join us!

Enjoy the outdoors while volunteering in Serbia – requirements & tasks

There is quite a lot of work in agriculture (but don’t worry, it’s nothing scary – we do all this for satisfaction). We produce vegetables and fruits ourselves. Garden tasks include planting, weeding, mulching, and watering.

During the summer, we have a lot of work with mowing and storing hay. There are jobs related to maintaining buildings and fences. In the forest, we cut trees, clear the undergrowth, and plant new trees. We gather fruits and make preserves, or we make wine and brandy. We also have a vineyard that needs to be tended. We have bees, chickens, pigs, sheep, cats, and dogs. Water comes from a well. Sometimes we have to clean the barn or chicken coop.

We would greatly appreciate help with housekeeping and preparing meals. If you have skills in construction and electrification, you are more than welcome here.

We consider our volunteers part of the family. We expect them to help us with everyday tasks, for example: preparing firewood for the winter, bringing firewood into the house in winter, tending the garden in spring and watering the garden in summer, collecting hay, to harvest wheat.

If you don’t feel like it, you don’t have to do it. You will surely find a way to be helpful. You shouldn’t do anything you don’t like or want to do. Especially if you are not sure about it. Safety first!

What is very important to us is to be independent and relaxed so that you and we can enjoy each other’s company. Everything you think you need, please tell us, so that it doesn’t happen that we find out about it through negative feedback on the site. Our goal is to create friendship.

You will work for about 25 hours per week with weekends off.

Enjoy the outdoors while volunteering in Serbia – what we offer

We provide a double private room. The volunteers have the whole house at their disposal, in which, if they want, they can make tea or coffee, there is also a bathroom and a toilet. We have also prepared wood, and under the canopy, we have a fireplace for grilling.

Free internet is available in the main house, which is open to volunteers since we eat together. We offer a full board. Access to laundry services is granted.

Our volunteers can explore the region in their free time. There are many Roman archaeological sites, not far from our village is Viminacium, once the capital of the Roman province of Mesia Superiorum; the Danube River and many Orthodox monasteries are nearby.

On the Danube, there are two fortresses, Golubac and Ram, and the sunset from the Ram Fortress has been declared the most beautiful in the world by National Geography. I like to show the volunteers the Brnjička River Canyon and the cave in Duboka. Anyone who wants can join us to train Aikido.
