Work and travel Europe – requirements & tasks
Calling all adventurers! Want to trade your desk job for epic beach days and unforgettable experiences? Our hostel in Peniche, Portugal is searching for a passionate individual (or two!) to join our team.
Nestled close to pristine beaches and world-renowned surf spots, our hostel offers a relaxed atmosphere and shared spaces – kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and outdoor areas – perfect for connecting with fellow travelers from all walks of life.
Your main responsibilities will include keeping our space tidy (cleaning and bed changes), assisting at reception, and handling smooth check-ins and check-outs. Experience in design, marketing, or photography is a plus.
The workload is manageable – just 2-3 hours a day in low and mid seasons, increasing to 3-4 hours during peak summer months (six days a week). Plenty of time remains for surfing, exploring, or soaking up the sun!

In exchange for your work, we offer a private room (shared with another volunteer), access to laundry facilities, free WiFi, one surf lesson, and a beginner surfboard. We also provide a breakfast.
