We take care of 120 animals of 15 different species. Join our sanctuary as a volunteer and help give our animals a better life, and make them feel safe and loved!
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary in Spain – requirements & tasks
We are a sanctuary helping animals of all species. We look for an animal lover who will help us with caring for them – including manure cleanup, cleaning of stables, paddocks and outside areas, gardening and lots of support tasks for our sanctuary manager.
You will also need to maintain the volunteers’ house, keep the common spaces clean and sometimes cook meals.
The work is physical, you need to be in good shape. It can be exhausting on some days but we continue to improve our organizational processes to improve. The work goes from (early) morning to night, although there is always room for your own activities. You will work a maximum of 5 hours a day and have your free time.
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary in Spain – what we offer
We offer you a valuable experience and participation in a vegan project, which is rare to find. We converted an old slaughterhouse into a sanctuary!
You will get in touch with animals that you do not normally see and that will show you their character and individuality. We will feed ou with a lot of delicious vegan food, you’ll get lots of love and lots of karma points.
If you’re traveling alone and you’re not completely vegan yet, but you’re really motivated and willing to help us, it could work too. Just contact us and we’ll talk about it.
We have a gym inside the Sanctuary where you can play sports if you wish.
