Volunteering in a school in Indonesia – requirements & tasks
Welcome to Al Mumtaza Boarding School in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia! We are a new school, established in 2021, that focuses on boys aged 13 to 18 for both junior and high school levels. Our school is conveniently located about an hour’s drive from Jakarta.
At Al Mumtaza, we pride ourselves on offering a curriculum that includes both Arabic and English. We believe that technology is essential for our students’ future, so we introduce multimedia lessons to our junior students.
We are thrilled to offer an opportunity for native English-speaking teachers to volunteer with us. Your presence will be a tremendous help to our students, as you share your knowledge and help them improve their English vocabulary and skills.

*** IMPORTANT *** All volunteer applicants for this placement must undergo police vetting in their home country. This is because the role involves working with children (under 18s) and/or vulnerable adults, and their safety is our top priority. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe and secure environment for those we serve.
You will work for about 35 hours per week with weekends off.
